It’s no secret that US grocery ecommerce sales skyrocketed last year, shooting up by 63.9% over 2019. Our forecast reveals that growth will continue for the next few years, though not at the same unprecedented rate. In 2021, grocery ecommerce sales growth will dip to 12.3% before returning to a healthy 20.5% in 2022. The ecommerce segment will prop up overall grocery sales growth, which will rise to 3.7% in 2022, from 1.1% in 2021.
