In the US, 80% of Adults Don’t Think Airlines Should Book Flights at Full Capacity

Amid the pandemic, many adults in the US aren’t ready to get on a plane anytime soon—especially if it’s packed. In a June 2020 survey from CivicScience, 80% of US adults said that now is not the time for airlines to book at full capacity. Just 14% of respondents felt that it was. 

As a result of the coronavirus, we estimate that digital travel sales in the US will drop by 44.7% in 2020, with total sales tallying $115.27 billion, a far cry from the $208.44 billion in 2019.
